April 2, 1993 Greetings, As we mentioned in our August and December communications to you, Hewlett-Packard is committed to support Domain through the year 2000. As promised, we continue to communicate the latest news regarding the work we are doing to provide this support and the benefits of that support to you. Thanks to those of you who responded to the December survey. We appreciate your time and involvement in directing Domain's future. As indicated by your responses, your top concerns are communications, the patch process, interoperability, networking, graphics, user interfaces and migration. The vast majority (88%) continue to see value in maintaining or increasing current HP support contracts. To receive the greatest return on those support contracts, we encourage your continued interest and contact with us. We urge you to let us hear from you. (See the enclosed post-paid survey.) You can make a difference; it takes just a few moments to positively affect Domain's future. The following pages highlight the latest news: o InterWorks '93 Conference -- April 25-28, Phoenix, Arizona, U.S.A. o Improvements to the Domain patch process o Domain '93 Program -- New update for SR10.4 o Non-scsi ct drives -- tar performance o SWT supports HP-UX operating system (Series 300/400) o Questions and Answers o User Survey SWT's success in providing focused, customer-driven support for the Domain, MPE V, and RTE operating systems has recently brought it another group of products: the HP-UX operating system (Motorola-based 68000 HP Series 300 and Series 400 only). By separating support of the Series 300/400 HP-UX installed base from that of the Series 700 PA-RISC installed base, HP can provide an appropriate focus for each. You'll hear more about this at the upcoming InterWorks conference and in future communications from us. Sincerely, HEWLETT-PACKARD COMPANY Douglas K.
